Microgiving making a Macro difference.

The process of microgiving is much older than the term; the internet though has made it a “buzzword”. As the term becomes more known every day, the examples of its success continue to surface. The internet has allowed the concept to blossom, and people of all ages are contributing. The limit, well, there doesn’t seem to be one.

The concept has been used in helping an entire nation fight disease to clothing and feeding a single family after a disaster. People are taking notice as large companies and individuals make major impacts. Sports Illustrated recently raised over $20 million to support the fight against Malaria and one individual raised several millions in his swim for Malaria. No longer do you need to be a politician or celebrity to have a huge influece.

In an economy of recent struggle, there is positive, a shining bright light. That bright light is people driving this movement. People are reaching out more than ever, the internet has given everyone an arm that can reach across the world. MicroGiving is here to stay, and that’s something to smile about. Diseases are being fought, food is being delivered, shelters are being built, and people who have lost everything still have hope, and you are a part it. Keep Shinning.

What I have gotten from this site, is a non judgemental kindness….and the fact that there are others in the ‘same’ boat, if not worse…it is humbling to have to ask anyone for help when you find yourself in a position you are not used to being in..
and to go to a website full of strangers, asking for help..is embarassing, to say the least.
I was welcomed so sincerely..by staff and members..it is not the money, although that certainly helps…but all of the advice, and the comradery…and support, that is worth more than all the donations..
when I see people in wheelchairs, no houses, lost everything, much worse than I am…and they are still out here offering their help and support…it brings tears to your eyes…

it’s a great site, and I can’t wait to start being a donor.

I am on the verge of no longer needing a donation, if all goes well this week…I must say, that the community of people giving and needing help, has gotten me through a bad time in my life..
Just reading the humbleness of many of the members here, would give anyone hope.
IT is a great idea, and the owners and originators of the site, should be very proud of what they have accomplished here.
They have worked very hard, and got a great team together..
I have a funny feeling, that the place is going to explode as a premiere site, and
a network for the makings of great friendships, beyond the charitable causes..

I can’t wait to become a donor.!!

You know,,,,,,,,,,, I have had many difficult days, days of just wanting to give up. Getting so tired of all the struggles, somedays wondering where the money is going to come from, wondering if we are going to lose our home, wondering what bill am I going to pay this time and which one can I let slide. Life at times to be just a long battle but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I come to this site and see the many reaching out, helping each other with words of kindness, those who don’t have much and sharing, I just wanted each and everyone of you to know you are an inspiration to me… Keep caring, Keep reaching and Stay Strong. Microgiving can reach so many and each and everyone of you are a part of making a change in this world. Thank you for being you…

I have very seldom have had to ask for any help in my entire life. When I read some of the needs of other people who are in the same situation or worse, I feel that maybe my situation isn’t as bad as it could be. I have always been a person who s

shared anything I had with anyone in need. I have taken many people into my home who needed temporary housing. I have exhausted my resources helping other people in need. I just can’t say no to anyone in need if I can help just a little bit. It seems that it always the people who are struggling to stay afloat themselves, who give the most. I have been blessed so many times in my life that I try to share a blessing with others. Some people say I was stupid to get myself in this situation helping other people. But, if you have a heart for hurting people, and you have experienced any similar situations in your life and come through, then it is extremely difficult to turn your back on anyone no matter what it may cost you. I do not regret the help I have given others, even though doing so has brought me to a place of great need. I have done what God has instructed us to do, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, take in strangers. I believe that God will get me through my crises, and get you through your crises, if you keep your faith and trust in God’s goodness. Bless you all.
