What is MicroGiving?

MicroGiving is a fundraising website that lets you raise money for anything. MicroGiving is for anyone— artists, musicians, film makers, developers, designers, dreamers, believers, idealists, inventors, entrepreneurs, non-profits, charities or people struggling through an economic hardship such as a loss of housing, medical emergency or natural disaster.

How does it work?

Sign up, create a fundraising request, invite your friends and family to donate, and enjoy cool fundraising tools to help you raise money.

Who can use MicroGiving?

MicroGiving is only open to U.S. residents. Recipients must have a U.S. based address and U.S. bank account.

How do I receive money?

Donations are processed by credit card. All donations are deposited immediately into your MicroGiving account.

You can withdraw your donations from inside your MicroGiving account when your fundraiser expires.  Please note, you must have a balance of at least $50.00 to withdraw your donations. Withdrawals are processed bi-weekly, every other Friday. You will be sent a check in full minus the service and credit card fees. Please allow 7-10 business days for postal transit time.

Please make sure we have copy of your W9 form. Otherwise there will be delays in processing your check.

Is there a limit to how much money I can request?

No! There is no limit! However, we suggest asking for less than you need. This makes your fundraiser more feasible to your Supporters. You can always raise more money…

What does it cost?

It’s free to sign up. For Financial Hardship fundraisers we deduct 5% of the money raised, for ALL other fundraisers we deduct 10% plus a 3% credit card processing fee.

Is there a Deadline?

You have 30 to 90 days to fundraise. The Deadline encourages your Donors to act fast! Typically, Recipients raise the most money towards the end of their fundraiser. Don’t worry-- you keep the money even if you don’t meet your goal.
