Help Support The Will Rogers Institute

The Will Rogers Institute is a program that perpetuates the memory of Will Rogers by promoting and funding medical research of cardiopulmonary diseases, purchasing neonatal ventilator equipment for medical facilities across the country and by educating the general public on topics of health and fitness.  Thank you for taking the time to donate to the Will Rogers Institute.  We are extremely grateful for every donation we receive. The Will Rogers Institute is a program of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, a charity named after one of the greatest humanitarians, philanthropists and entertainers that ever lived, Will Rogers.  Originally a hospital for tuberculosis-stricken Vaudevillians, The Will Rogers Memorial Hospital (established in 1936) became a national training facility for doctors treating patients with tuberculosis. Building on that foundation, the Will Rogers Institute is today a national charitable health program focused on research of debilitating lung disorders, medical school training fellowships, distribution of free health education materials to the general public. The Institute recently became a national leader in providing lifesaving neonatal ventilator equipment to hospitals across the country. The public health education campaign remains an important factor in our ongoing mission to provide vital pulmonary health, fitness and nutrition information.  Today, the Will Rogers Institute funds four acclaimed research hospitals and nine fellowships across the United States. The Institute is making strides every day in understanding, treating, and curing pulmonary diseases and disorders. In recent years, WRI developed a new program to partner with hospitals providing critical care to premature infants. Last year, the Will Rogers Institute committed $400,000 in grants for neonatal intensive care. The money will provide much needed equipment such as critical airway carts, Neopuff™ infant resuscitators, incubators, inhaled nitric oxide therapy technology and Omni Beds. Thank you for taking the time to donate to the Will Rogers Institute.  We are extremely grateful for every donation we receive. www.wrinstitute.org

Nina Beans Has Cancer She Turned 13

Nina is going to a children's hospital that is an hour away from her home. Nina's mother has to stop working in order to care for Nina. Her income is not high and I think if we could meet our fundraising goal the money would help put food on her table and gas in her car through Nina's treatment.   Nina has a bone sarcoma with a tumor the size of grapefruit under her ribs.  Oddly enough she has felt no pain and was only diagnosed because of feeling light headed in her physical education class.  She was just diagnosed last week and everyone that loves her is coming to terms with the news and how much it is going to change her life and the lives of those around her.  She will have chemotherapy, surgery, and then more chemotherapy.  Nina is going to a children's hospital that is an hour away from her home.  Nina has had a heart of gold since she was a child.  She would gladly hand over her last piece of Halloween candy or offer her favorite shirt to her friend. Nina has a giving heart.  She likes to cheer people up and befriends those who need friends. She likes to make people laugh and smile by being silly. She just started the 8th grade this year.  She has an older sister and two younger brothers.  Her two year old cousin calls her "My Nina" and loves her dearly.  We all love Nina dearly, please help her family survive financially and emotionally through what lies ahead. I am Nina's aunt (her favorite aunt, so she says).  Most of my immediate family worked in real estate and since 2009 we have all sought to reacclimate ourselves in the new economy.  My sister works a part-time job at a retailer and cleaning houses to make ends meet.  She has to stop working in order to care for Nina. Her income is not high and I think if we could meet our fundraising goal the money would help put food on her table and gas in her car through Nina's treatment.  Thank you for giving and caring.
