Well, today was interesting. I was able to get a ride to a Dr appointment. It was a follow up to my first appointment at the health clinic. My x-ray did not show anything, so I now have to get an MRI to see why I still have pain. I got home and it was a day of no mail. I sincerely wonder if the mail carrier even came today. There was nothing in the trash can where people normally throw junk mail. I am sure the mail came...I am just impatient for things that were sent to me to arrive. For example, the health clinic sent referrals to me last Wednesday and nothing has arrived. They gave me copies while I was at my appointment today. Also, I am wondering why I have never received a warning that my license will be suspended because I don't have car insurance. Come to think of it, I have never received a notice to renew my car tag in August. I usually get that a month in advance. These are trivial things to anyone reading this post, but I am just writing about it to release stress. It looks like the people I rent my room from are losing patience with my situation. They complained today that my lack of income is causing them added late fee expenses and making them wait on repairs for their car. Today they said my free health care and Food Stamps are making me lazy and I should get a job. Sigh. Even they don't have a clue what it is like at my age to find work in a bad economy. The state of Florida continues to stonewall unemployment benefits. There is an indication it will be weeks before anyone who is entitled to benefits will receive them. perhaps even a full month since Congress approved them while a number of other states have already sent benefits to their citizens. I am so discouraged by attempts, unconscious or not, by my government, society and people in general adopting an attitude that pushes me to the curb. Sorry folks...I guess I am just frustrated like so many other friends here.
