I have good news. My husband and I have been doing pretty good (back together) he started a new job two weeks ago and it is a really good job. This is a gift from God, after two years of unemployment he found a job with a company that puts the disabled to work (contract) for the government. Things are tight financially for my husband and I, but we still have a roof over our heads. We are still behind on the electric bill, but have been able to pay down the phone bill and switch to uverse which should help because of the unlimited long distance. Things have been busy around here. I am back together with my husband and he is in the process of being hired for a job at the Naval Hospital in our area. On Monday we received notice that SDG&E was supposed to come out and shut off our service, but the rep I have worked with stopped them. We now have a extension for the utilities to 9/3/09 then EVERYTHING will be shutoff if we can't make a payment. Things have been somewhat busy around here. I still have not had any work assignments, but am now able to receive some unemployment. This will help with paying down the utility bills, however I am still on the brink of being shutoff every month. I received my payment from MicroGiving it helped alot as I was much better able to buy food. My husband and I have reconciled and we are waiting on results of a job interview he had. I am glad it is almost August 1st. Making it to the end of this month has been a serious stretch. Hopefully I will get some work assignments with school starting up again. I am applying for jobs in every field where I have experience, hopefully those will open up now that students are going back to school. I don't know what I would do without Jesus, my church, my family and friends or MicroGiving. At least the weather has been beautiful, dry but beautiful.

Judy update

Thought I would update my journal. I still have not had any work assignments or interviews for another job, that means no paycheck at all since May. I have had a little help (very little) with unemployment however, that could change. I am scheduled for a phone interview with EDD on August 3rd I hope that goes well. My weekend was good I spent time with friends and family on the 4th and watched fireworks. I have had more jobs to apply for and am praying that something comes from those applications. I hope everyone had a good and fun weekend....

Judys JournalI finally received the forms and other paper work for unemployment. Next step will be a phone interview I don't have the date yet. Hopefully I will qualify, it will only be around $40 a week that is better than zero. Wish me luck....
