Learning to Forgive~

Here is a story about my life which is true...  A couple of years ago we had a letter put on our home door stating that it was to be up for Sheriff auction. My daughter being very young took it very hard.  She is home schooled and she thought of an idea to write a letter to God and ask Him to keep our home.  So, she did. I got her some balloons and she sent the letter up to God.
 The letter traveled 5 hours away from here into Louisville, Kentucky and a Church got a hold of it and was very eager to help and our story was put in the big paper of the city.  Many was wanting to help but, someone who was cruel decided to call the paper and tell them that we were scamming people out of money and that the story was not true. Which if anyone would ask would have been presented with the papers that showed the facts that yes we were losing our home.  No one did and 6 months went by and I was called into a meeting at the Church I was going to and ask not to come back because I was teaching my daughter to scam.  They also believed that we had received 25,000 to pay for the mortgage which was not even near the truth.  They even sat there and told me that I had forged a greeters badge so I could greet at their doors, when in fact the badge had been made in their own office by their lady that had worked there for years. They took half truths and made them into a story they wanted to believe.  There main Elder was going around trying to dig up things about me that were from years ago to try and make me look bad.  Also in the meeting was a man that is supposed to be something of authority in our judicial system and his attitude that day just amazed that they called themselves " Christians" So many people had told me to be careful of them but sad to say I learned the hard way.

You know, I am not angry at what had happened but, I truly pray for them and feel sorry for them.  No one that I have spoken to can understand how a Church can turn anyone away. There is no Biblical answer for their decision that day.  I did them no wrong and it has taken a long time to heal from the coldness of that day. They do not believe that we should share with people our struggles. But, I am thankful that one day they will stand before God and explain their ideas of turning people away.
One thing I have learned about being here on this site is that people do care what is happening in other peoples lives and that people are kind to share caring words to those who are hurting out there. I am proud to be here to share my life with all of you and pray in some way I can help those who are hurting.
It is so sad that some Churches are based on numbers and how much money they bring in. This site is remarkable in the care that they show to one another.  Some feel that it is wrong to share to the world the hurt you are going through are ask for assistance but there are many out there including Churches that when they add additions on to their buildings ask people to help them so that a dream comes true and that is what so many of us are doing here.  We have a dream to get past our struggles so that we in return can give back for what others have done.
My struggle have  been many times kept quiet because of fear of what people think but, I know that God works through people and I am determined that my life will keep going forward.  I spent to much time being hurt and upset but, I am proud of who I am and know that I am raising a remarkable daughter who will know that I love her and will do all in my power to make a good life for her.  I have learned to forgive and know that I am where I am supposed to be.  God is teaching me many lessons.
