Yeah!! I am so glad to see Friday is finally here. It has been a very long and tiring week with many onerous duties. I am really looking forward to the weekend, so I can get out and enjoy the outdoors some. I want to go to the local park with my children and hit a few of the trails out there, maybe even have a picnic lunch. I just love the outdoors, and Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Not to cold, not too hot and everything is beginning to bloom. There is just something about a bright sunny day, with a gentle breeze blowing, my girls cheerful and glowing that puts all my issues into perspective. Yes, I am struggling, Yes I am stressed and Yes I worry daily about the needs of my children being met. But I also have to say I am thankful to be able to be able to do the many things I am able to, like walk the trails outdoors. I am truly blessed and very appreciative for the things I do have.

I enjoy giving back to my community and to others I come across that may need some cheering up. Every once and awhile my children and I go to a Soup Kitchen that serves the homeless and we help prepare food and/or serve the meals. I also purge my children’s clothes and give to my local battered woman's shelter. I have volunteered countless hours in the local schools, mentoring, active member of the PTA or organizing functions. I have sat and rocked babies in the NICU who were born to addicted mothers. I am on a card committee in my town that sends out a card or letter to those who are homebound, temporally ill or just going through a rough time and needs something to make them smile. I also can't tell you the countless baked goods my children and I have made to bring to shut-ins and elderly members of a community nursing home.

I am not in anyway bragging, I guess what I am really trying to say is....I may not be rich materialistically but I am rich with what really truly counts...family, friends and so much more and I love to pay forward in anyway I can…...

Nanette,
My mom use to take us to shelters to give our toys we outgrew and one thanksgiving we went and helped the homeless and served food. I rememember that like it was yesterday. It is something Iwill never forget.

I truly cant wait til my kids are a bit older, (they are one and two now) so that we can experience baking things together and volunteering at school and doing such things. Im so jealous girl! Right now its a bit early to do these things, but in time it will happen. Bless you for being such a provider!
