I wish I had a vehicle to get me to & from work. It'd also help get my daughter in day care/school. Being a single mom only being able to currently work part time is tough. Plus I have bills to pay & receive no help from her father. If I could get about $2,500 that's enough to get something decent off craigslist around here. I'd be happy to provide proof of anything I can to anyone who is willing to help. I'd even take a loan so long I can make smaller payments back.
:( Just been depressed & down with a lot going on. A vehicle would not only help with the basic needs, but it'll also make me feel more independent and keep me busy.I hope there's an angel out there to help.

Hi! I am a participant of the COPE Coalition and I have been participating in it for the past 3 years. The COPE coalition is a group of people (very committed community members and hard working agencies) working together to create a healthy environment for families and youth. We do a lot of things and talk about a lot of topics, like domestic violence and teen pregnancy, among other important topics in our community. But, our main focus is to prevent drug use on youth since this could be a starting point for the other topics and even an ending point. Since the country is going through so many problems, the funds for our group are very limited now. I’m here trying new things to help the coalition to keep up with their work, before we lose all that we have worked for all this years. I don’t expect great things to happen, I try to do great things and hope for the best. It is something I learned from my community work with this awesome team. But right know all I can do is hope for the help and support of those out there that may not know much about us, but believe in our cause. Much Respect :) Youth Council Volunteer

Here we are at the beginning of the week. I had left for a weekend at my partners place and left Ronda in charge of the house. I was very happy to return to see the place was still in good order. I am quite proud of her considering the years that I have known her she has always been homeless living in Penn Station.
This week I will urge her towards applying for jobs and following up on the apps. I will get her down to the SS office to apply for benefits and follow up on the ordering of her birth certificate.
Without her birth certificate, she had lost all of her ID due to the stupidity of her partner on the streets; so yes, without her b.c. she has no proof of who she is. Goal is to hopefully receive new certificate in the mail this week.
Myself, I am waiting for a small check from the insurance company which will hopefully feed us and gas up the car for the week.
I have sent in my payment for my motor vehicle surcharge, which hopefully won't bounce. This Friday $700 due on the car insurance and on 9/10 another $700 is due. Sept 1st is the deadline for my rent and so far no one has reached out to me.
I am doing all I can and am just losing my mind over this. I don't know what else to do but pray.

This social service is a faith based organization, a charitable organization, not for profit.
We promote healthy family and marriage by providing faith based activities and education that will help couples who are considering marriage and couples that are already married. We are here to help families and couples acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to form and sustain a healthy family and marriage. We promote responsible fatherhood and motherhood by providing faith based activities and education design to empower the mother and father. We provide support and activities which have the potential to improve the health and status and quality of life for families and marriages and children. We support our community families and their children by teaching abstinence to adolescents ages 5-18. Our goal is to educate the community and encourage the community to embrace a better way of life outside of alcohol, sex and drug use. We achieve that by promoting and teaching families and couples faith based principles and by instilling positive values in the individual(s).
Our goal is to reduce the divorce rates in families and reduce out of wedlock child bearing families and to reach as many people this year. We believe and have hope that every one can live a successful and prosperous life right now in this day and time.
