How I'm Doing?

How I'm Doing?Well its been a while since I last posted here!
I vowed to have a turkey for Thanksgiving and I did it!
I managed to get a 10-lb turkey the day before Thanksgiving and since it was a fresh turkey I didn't have to worry about it being defrosted in time! The turkey cost me $16 but I didn't care because I wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving with a turkey!
I didn't even mind being out shopping at the grocery store on the day before Thanksgiving because people all around were in a great mood!
I'm happy to say that my electricity is still on! I have applied for a grant to help pay with some of my heating bill but the organization has been so busy that I haven't been able to find out how my application is going. But I'm grateful that my lights (and heat) are on! My heating bill for this month is over $150!
Right now I'm happy and feeling content and grateful for the things that I do have!
My Thanksgiving was great! I watched the parade on TV as I prepared my turkey!

Shut-Off Notice

Shut-Off NoticeWell here is where faith is going to have to sustain me because I have a shut-off notice for the utilities and electric the beginning of next week!  The weather (and the nights) are getting colder and I don't know what I'm going to do!
There is a program that can help with the payment but I have to provide at least $750 before they will provide the rest.
Please keep me in your prayers.

I'm Still Here!

I'm Still Here!I wanted to thank Midrogiving for providing me with donations so far - it has enabled me to buy the much-needed food that I needed!
I'm still hopeful that I will be able to reach the rest of my donation goal which is still $25 dollars away!
I'm most thankful for the food that I do have now!  Never thought that I would run out of bread - much less butter!  But having some peanut butter and jelly would go a long way towards the bread that I DO have.
I would also like to be able to buy some milk and sugar as well.
Used the last of my laundry detergent today but was grateful to have enough to do 2 loads of laundry today!

I'm Hoping To Meet My Request Goal!

I'm Hoping To Meet My Request Goal!I still see that I am $25 away from meeting my request goal.
I'm hoping to meet that because the money that I am requesting goes towards food!
So far I have been able to pay my utility bills but I just don't have any money for food!  I have received donations so far and I am very grateful for that because it enabled me to buy food to last about 2 weeks!
It feels so much better when you are working on a full stomach!
