Its been awhile

Garden thriving

Garden thrivingIts unbelievably amazing! Our garden is doing so well this year. We have taken several summer squash and zuccini and okra and tomatoes this year. Already have 6 gallon baggies full of frozen veggies for this winter, on top of what we are eating everyday.
The strawberries have multiplied from 10 plants to almost 20, watch out next year, and we are pulling 4 -8 strawberries a day! The cauliflower and broccoli went straight to seed, dont know what happened there, but the carrots, gr...

Tunnel vision

My dear husband has just called, he said he was on his second relay on his route and he had to call his supervisor. He said he got light headed, had tunnel vision and had a hard time making it back to his mail truck to call his boss.
He called a second time and said he was on his way to e.r. with his super. I cannot go see him as I have the one and two year old here, it would be chaotic to coupe them up in an e.r. room, and I dont have anyone who watches them but grandma and she's at work.

vacation over

Well my dear husband goes back to work tomorrow. The whole two weeks he had off we only had 2 days decent enough to get the kids outside. One day we took them to the zoo, and the other we took them to grandmas to help her plant her garden while we went fishing. We didnt get to go mushroom hunting, or taking walks, or anything we wanted to, as the weather just wouldnt allow by being wet or just too plain cold!
But we did have wonderful family time together and I actually got to sleep til 8 or 9 ...

Zoo

The Saint Louis zoo is amazing. And amazingly free!! We took the kids yesterday. I had a hard time getting lil Jimmy to go to sleep Tuesday night so I told him we were going to go see animals in the morning, and when he woke up Wednesday morning thats all he could talk of! Going to see angimals as he says it lol.

Paying it forward makes some mad

We got a wage garnishment against one of our bills, which was in another post, but anyhow, our in'laws are helping to pay our mortgage payment for a few months, and they are buying us food, and they are going to pay our taxes of $500 for the land and insurance til the garnishment stops (they are taking over $800 a month in garnishment). Thunderstorms

Just what the garden needed! I am scared of them though, since we bought this land last year, it has a trailer on it. Beautiful trailer, but scary in thunderstorm season! There is a tornado alley that runs about 10-15 miles south of us so we get some severe weather sometimes.
We plan on building a house here in about 3-4 years, but that wont keep us safe now! We thought of freecycling some sliding glass doors and putting them in the living room and put a deck with it and digging a temporary ba...

Fishing

We finished what we could of the garden yesterday, will tackle more of it today. When we were done with what we could do, we took the kiddies to grandmas and went fishing.
I love the sound of the water slapping the rocks. I caught 4 fish, 2 got off the line before I could reel em in (one bass one crappie) and one was a baby bluegill and the other a baby bass so I had to throw them back!
