We finished what we could of the garden yesterday, will tackle more of it today. When we were done with what we could do, we took the kiddies to grandmas and went fishing.
I love the sound of the water slapping the rocks. I caught 4 fish, 2 got off the line before I could reel em in (one bass one crappie) and one was a baby bluegill and the other a baby bass so I had to throw them back!
My husband on the other hand caught 5 really nice sized crappies, so he kept them, filleted them and that is what we plan on having for dinner, mac and cheese and fresh crappie!

well I dont like the worm thingy lol, we use minnows and jigs pretty much all the time unless we are using crank baits for bass fishing. We are avid fisherpeople! Sometimes I haul in a bucket full and sometimes my husband does, yesterday was just my hubbies day!

Sounds like a great time. I had a boyfriend that I would go fishing with once and he bugged me constantly that I wasn't doing it right. I reeled it in too fast, I didn't cast it out in the right spot, I talked too much... etc. I finally said 'I fish because it is FUN and your are completely ruining it. I was so tired of it that I finally quit putting worms on the hook altogether... I started stringing skittles up my hook and line (poked a hole through them and strung them on). He was so mad... WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?! he said. I told him: I'm going after the rainbow trout.
