Biography

Food for Felines was created from the need of ordinary people not being able to afford quality food for their cats because of unfortunate circumstances. Your feline companions should not have to eat food that is not nutritious because of a temporary financial setback.

Most food pantries will ask you to verify income or employment status in order to receive food for your pet(s). Food for Felines realizes that anyone can fall on hard times, such as a family emergency, being a victim of a crime including identity theft, or having to pay an unexpected bill for the month.

All these situations and then some, can prohibit a pet owner for having to scale back on the high quality food and resorting to an inferior food for a short time until his/her financial situation pans out. A food pantry would deny me pet food on the basis of my salary, even though with the rising cost of food, transportation and health care, I have had to buy inferior foods for my three cats more than I can count.

I know times are difficult and our economy is not sparing anyone or any industry; nevertheless, if we can ensure we are giving our loving companions decent healthy food in these stressful times, proving this service will be one less thing for owners to worry about.

My Purpose

I moved to Chicago in 2003 after living in Atlanta for seven years.

I have been working for a non-profit youth organization for almost three years.

I have three domestic short haired cats, two boys and one girl. I adopt only senior cats and I feel part of my mission is to make more people aware of pet adoption.
