Biography

Hello - I'm a 32yr old female that was diagnosed this year with Myasthenia Gravis - This has been devastating to me, my husband and my 13 yr old daughter - I lost my job because of this disease and with that i also lost my health insurance - I have been hospitalized 5 times since May of this year - I was just recently turned down for SSDI and am in the process of appealing it - This disease affects all of my voluntary muscles including walking, talking, swallowing, strength in my arms and legs in minimal, double vision - In time and with surgery and the correct medications I hope to someday go into remission - We are a proud family and work very hard for what we have but this disease is taking everything away from us - We could really use some help just to get past this hurdle. They say God never gives you more than you can deal with. We just received a letter about our house going into foreclosure if we can't make up the payments and We are also having to give up one of our vehicles at the end of this month because we just can't afford it with all of the doctor, hospital and medical bills. We could really use help right now just to stay afloat. The doctors say that with the chemo I am taking that I should start feeling better by next april and if i can get approved for SSDI which the appeal process takes about 14 months they say then I can get medicare in 2 years and then have the thymectomy surgery - Any kind of help at all would be soo greatly appreciated.
