Biography
Actually I have two causes. The first and most important is my family. I have two daughters, Stephie and Danielle. I am on disability because I suffer from agoraphobia. Alot of people have never heard of this but it is a real problem and the SSA recognizes it as such and my case is so severe that I was lucky to have receive disability in less than two monthes without having to go to court or hire a lawyer. It was my miracle and at first I was so happy to not have to worry about things but then reality set in. I only receive 665.00 a month and thats not enough to raise two daughters on. Right now I'm behind on my electric bill and Christmas is coming up. My oldest daughter is planning on going to college next year and I know its depressing not having nice clothes to wear to school. We all know that clothes aren't what really matters but try telling that to a 17 year old. I just wish that I could do more for them and give them nicer things. They are good girls and I try to instill morals in them. We are a decent family just having a hard time.
My second cause might seem silly and unimportant to some but its important to me. I have a bad habit of feeding the strays in my neighborhood and I've been here for over 6 years and I think people know to leave thier unwanted pets on my street. Right now I'm feeding two cats and a pitiful looking dog in need of a groomer. I take these animals in and find them a good home were people can afford to take care of them. My problem is feeding these and my own and keeping food on the table for my family. I feed these animals even if its table scraps. Who else is going to? It is so sad to see a skinny cat or dog. And come to think of it, these animals are my family too. Any help would be appreciated. Any suggestions on a organization that helps with cat or dog food would be great. I've fixed up a place on my screened porch for the cats to come in and sleep. Sometmes all these hungry mouths overwhelm me but I will find a way to feed my family. I'm to stubborn to give up. And by the way I do see to it that these strays are spayed and neutred or give them to people who will have it done. I am a big believer in this but some are hard to caught but they still need feeding.
Listed below is a description of what I suffer from. My youngest daughter has the same problem. Although I was told that she has Acute Seperation Anxiety by a theropist. I think she has more of the the fears that I have. My oldest daughter is fine so far. She love to go out and be with friends. Does good in school and wants to go to our community college.
Anxiety is something that runs in my family. But it seems to be only the females. Both of my sisters and most of my aunts and my mother take medicine for depression and anxiety.
I don't like to take medicine so I take the herbs St. John's Wort and Valerian Root. This seem to help me out alot but my daughter is too young now to take anything. I homeschool her so that helps out alot with her anxieties.

Agoraphobia
SYMPTOMS

The essential feature of Agoraphobia is anxiety about being in places or situations from which escape might be difficult (or embarrassing) or in which help may not be available in the event of having a Panic Attack or panic-like symptoms.

Agoraphobic fears typically involve characteristic clusters of situations that include being outside the home alone; being in a crowd or standing in a line; being on a bridge; and traveling in a bus, train, or automobile.

A person who experiences agoraphobia avoids such situations (e.g., travel is restricted) or else they endure with significant distress or with anxiety about having a Panic Attack or panic-like symptoms. People with agoraphobia often require the presence of a companion.

Anxiety or phobic avoidance in agoraphobia can not be better accounted for by another mental disorder, such as Social Phobia (e.g., avoidance limited to social situations because of fear of embarrassment), Specific Phobia (e.g., avoidance limited to a single situation like elevators), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (e.g., avoidance of dirt in someone with an obsession about contamination), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (e.g., avoidance of stimuli associated with a severe stressor), or Separation Anxiety Disorder (e.g., avoidance of leaving home or relatives).

Agoraphobia is generally not diagnosed if Panic Disorder has already been previously diagnosed. As with all mental disorders, the symptoms listed above are not due to the direct physiological effects of a use or abuse of a substance (e.g., alcohol, drugs, medications) or a general medical condition.

Christmas is coming up so fast and I'm behind on my electric bill as always. I need 300.00 to get that caught up and money for Christmas for my children. Anything to help buy cat and dog food as I am almost out now.
If anyone has any questions they would like to ask or any donations my email for paypal is asheboro_lady40@yahoo.com. I am willing to prove what I can to show that I am on a tight budget.
My Purpose
I am a mother of two beautiful daughters and many cats and dogs. I want the best for my family and beleive that there are positive people out there in the world who want to help others. Well my family's need is real and I am responsible for them. I'm asking for extra help because of them.

Being Thankful.

Posted on Wed 26 Nov, 11:30 pm

Being Thankful. Here it is Thanksgiving again and Christmas soon after. I think sometimes we forget the things in life to be thankful for. I know I complain too much at times and get angry with the world and all it's dished out for me but I have so much to be thankful for. My children are a true blessing. They are the reason I live and get up each day. The reason I try to maintaine a stable enviroment and keep the house clean and cook supper every evening. They are my family and I love them with all my heart.
My sisters and I are close and we don't argue like a lot of families. We respect our mom too much to worry her over silly stuff like that. Everyone for the most part is in good health. Although my sister-in-law is sick and needs all the prayers we can pray for her. We've had our ups and downs just like everyone else but we've stayed close all these years.
Tomorrow I'm going to pretend that I have plenty of money and that things are good. Not worry and be thankful all day lo  >>>

Hi there! We did not celebrate Thanksgiving with a large meal, but
then again we usually don't do that. Have never been able to afford
it and over time just realized we did not have to have a big meal as a
reason for family to gather. This year our family did not gather
because my mom was needed out of state to help her sister undergoing
medical treatment, my sister had to work, my son had to be with my
sister to help her while my mother is gone, My partner had to work so
even if a meal had been planned nobody would have been able to attend.

Thanks! No, we did not have a meal for Thanksgiving, missed out on the
thanksgiving dinner handouts because we did not have a reseveration
with any of the churches or soup kitchen so they refused us at the
door.

I hope you had a blessed day!
