Biography
I am a 60 year old man who was thrown into unemployment when my company went bankrupt during the economic recession. I have lost my apartment and I have pawned all my valuable possessions to stay afloat. Recently, Congress has not been able to continue unemployment benefits which has left me with nothing to fund my efforts to find work. I am on the verge of losing my car, the room I rent and my phone. My car insurance will be canceled this coming week for non-payment which puts my driver's license at risk. With no transportation or driver's license the already difficult task of getting employment is impossible. I desperately need help to remain a viable job candidate. I have applied to Voc Rehab to fix my hearing aids and I have applied for Food Stamps. Both are still pending and will be pending for weeks to come.

August 3

Posted on Wed 4 Aug, 01:14 am

Well, today was interesting. I was able to get a ride to a Dr appointment. It was a follow up to my first appointment at the health clinic. My x-ray did not show anything, so I now have to get an MRI to see why I still have pain. I got home and it was a day of no mail. I sincerely wonder if the mail carrier even came today. There was nothing in the trash can where people normally throw junk mail. I am sure the mail came...I am just impatient for things that were sent to me to arrive. For example, the health clinic sent referrals to me last Wednesday and nothing has arrived. They gave me copies while I was at my appointment today. Also, I am wondering why I have never received a warning that my license will be suspended because I don't have car insurance. Come to think of it, I have never received a notice to renew my car tag in August. I usually get that a month in advance. These are trivial things to anyone reading this post, but I am just writing about it to release   >>>

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick
boxing. (not a clue!)

Girls are like phones. We love to be held, talked too but if you press
the wrong button you'll be disconnected! (not a clue!)

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have
within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for
the stars to change the world.
Harriet Tubman

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every
dream precedes the goal.
Pamela Vaull Starr

The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or
even heard, but must be felt with the heart.

Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.
       - John Heywood, sixteenth-century English poet
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and
it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you.

Hey, How's life going? Just checking in to say hello and wish some
luck your way. I seem to be getting more call backs for interviews,
but no hire as of yet. The eviction process is starting this week for
me. I am petrified of whats going to happen to me and that I will be
forgotten. Say a prayer for me.. xo

I just wanted to thank Anonymous, Becky Raymond and John for their
contributions. I am now even closer to my goal! It is a good feeling
to know there are wonderful people in the world.

Hi Geoffery, how are you doing? Just checking in with you. PM me if
you'd like.
Becky Raymond: Administrator Jul 31, 2010 04:09:47
Glad to see you donated to Geoffery! It's great to see our recipient
members trying hard to help others in need. We all have to work
together to make things happen for ourselves and those around us.
Can't wait around for those with the good incomes to do it...there
simply are not enough good incomes to go around.

Hi, my Flea Market endeavor would be going better if people wouldn't
steal the things I am selling~ I had 5 rings stolen this last week
end value of at least $150. Thanks for checking in. Always good to
hear from you. How are things for you?
