Biography
I have recently found myself in a horrifying situation. December 17th, 2008 my two-year old daughter was ripped away from me by the courts in California. Quite honestly, this is a long story that I do have typed out for those who wish to read, but for the time being, I just need to act quickly. My court appearance was December 17th and I was trying to maintain my visitation with my daughter defending our relationship from loop holes in the California Family Code. I was up against two mainstream lawyers and I lost. Now, I'm doing everything I can to get my daughter back. I have been searching for ways to acquire enough money to pay for a trial lawyer because we have a trial set for February 6th, 2009. I have offered to auction my car, sell whatever belongings I have, pick up more hours at work, and I've even applied to clinical test studies to gain some sort of retainer between the 10-20,000 dollar mark. Until something changes I will not see my daughter. I have hope and pray that the right thing will be done, but my stress is maximized because life is being detached from me.
My Purpose
My purpose here is to re-establish my relationship with my daughter before our disconnection will affect her development negatively. I believe that I serve as the most important person in my daughter's life and without me she will not retain the love, affection, and support she deserves. I am up against the odds attempting to establish my rights as a father through the court system, but I believe with the initial support, I can raise my daughter to make a difference in many lives around the world.

You'd make an excellent "Quote Calendar" for children!
Hahaha

her roller-coaster, her jump-house, and lastly her

John,
It's good to see you back and posting! I wish you all the best.
April Mar 23, 2009 18:13:44
Haha, I was just thinking the same thing! Actually, the weekend slows
people down, it's a Monday thing! How was yours by the way? Did you do
anything nice with your daughter?
April Mar 18, 2009 19:16:41
She must have been quite a birthday present for you when she was
born!!

'Rachael' is a beautiful name. Its original root stems from Hebrew and
means "lamb" - which represents innocence and purity

Be strong and hang in there, persistence pays!

Your daughters are so beautiful by the way! How old is the eldest?
Does she live with you?

Hi John..I was reading your profile. Have you contacted any Fathers
Rights Groups? A lot of them have advocates and ways and means to
help dads out in a situation like yours.
Also there is a website calls FightCPS. Although thats not what
yours is referring to (but they are very against Family Court).. they
have a list of attorneys that fight for parents and some work with
you and some are even pro bono...and they just dont only take CPS
cases but believe in parents be it, dads or moms that have been done
wrong in family Court.
heres the link..let me know if it doesnt work. Just skim through the
list ansd I think I saw some in CA.

Best of luck to you!! I have dealt with family court before so I KNOW
what its like!!grrr

Whats up JT! Happy St. Patricks Day. Doing anything fun with the
kiddies?
April Mar 13, 2009 13:36:48
Hi JT - Thanks for your comment!
The more involved & supportive you are with everyone on this site
(including recipients), the more likely you will gain support. You
don't have to give monetarily. In fact, your supportive comments to
others on the blog showed a caring spirit in you. You're a powerful
encouragement to others who are hurting too! And thats something money
donations cant satisfy!
..........You rock! Keep it up.............
Keep navigating around the MG site, keep interacting with others, keep
commenting, and you'll get the support you need (it all comes
naturally in time)!
April Mar 10, 2009 21:22:00
Hang in there JT! Your words and your strength inspire all of us
around here.

Update: I am surviving by a thread right now. Very little work that
pays. Too many bills unpaid. Running out of resources. PLEASE HELP~
John Thomas Feb 08, 2009 23:26:07
Update: I was able to come up with $2,500 before February 6th and
retain a lawyer that would accept my case on short notice. Somehow,
she was able to get the trial continued to properly prepare, and will
need to receive the remainder of her $5,000 retainer to be paid in
installments that I cannot afford by myself. I do not know what my
incomes/expenses will look like from here on out, but I know my
current debt and future debt will be in the hands of the courts. To
know such debt AND THE FUTURE OF MY DAUGHTER is both in the hands of
the courts, I am fearful; yet, hopeful. Thank you for your time~
