Biography
I am a disabled lady (originally from GA) who has lived in MO for the pasat 13-14 years. In the time I have lived here I have went from an able body working woman to a disable lady who finally returned to school 9 months ago in hopes of getting some sort of associates degree in business management.

I think the thing I enjoy most in life tends to be the thing which has hurt me the most; and for me that is helping others who are helping themselves. With me being on disability the only ways I have been able to help others are in the little ways. Things like transportation for others without to stores/appointments/errands/etc, pack care packages of necessities to those without, spare my time watching kids and many other things are done without asking anything from anyone. Occassionally I might have someone give me a few dollars for gas, but that is about the size of it. The best thing I get is priceless...that feeling deep down that you just made someones day a little easier and pray that one day they will pay it forward to another strnager in need.

Just an update. After my last comment I went to campus to do school
work not really wanting to. While there I met a man of God who has
the gift of his mouth to spread God's word. I presented him my
project, we prayed and he said he would help get the word out. I
don't know if anyhing will come of this, but I pray to the Lord above
that he has something in store for me to be able to take my few
belongings. That's it for today.

Becky....thx for the ideal. Sorry for delay reply. I've been trying
to finish a business plan for class final grade. I will look into it.

That is a hard choice indeed. Could you mail some things down?
Before you leave your state if you sent down a few boxes they would
arrive after you got to GA. When a friend of mine was going back home
after leaving the military from Ft. Gordon he shipped all his stuff
from GA to Maine by mail because it was going to cost him much less
than then coming back. I was going to store his stuff but once all
the costs were calculated the return trip here and back with a Uhaul
just would have cost more. The Military paid for his flight back home
because he was a medical discharge but they didn't pay to move his
belongings. You probably couldn't move furniture items that way but
at least you could move some box size sentimental things that way.

I GIVE UP!!! It's been 5 years trying to save and relocate on my own.
Now my grandmother isn't doing too good I'm still no better off with
hope of moving. My ONLY option is what I feared most....sell anything
I can't get into my car and open my house to strangers to come pick
apart until it's sold. That's so dishearting that I can't stop
crying...to even have to leave sentimental things because too big to
get in car. Unless there is a miracle on 34th street in my city, then
I will lose everything trying to get closer to my grandmother. Got to
go cause I am BROKEN!!!

p.s. i never posted a request for financial help. after reading all
the requests and seeing the problems people were facing, i didn't feel
rite asking for help for an invention. i feel any money giving to my
cause would takeaway from others who need it more than i do. so i just
kind of float around here and some day soon hope to be able to help
others. john

hello i dont know what state you live in ,but in fla. your court date
is usually 30 days or so depending on the courts backlog. after that
the judge gives you the option to pay rent to current,if you cant pay
you usually get 30 days to vacate. so you probably have 2 months
there. i know this because i was evicted once 2 years ago. also in fla
we have a crisis line to call .they give organisations on how they can
help with paying your back rent. the salvation army is one of them,
and churches are another, and you dont have to be a member for them to
help. try your county commissioner's office they have a list of them.
2 years ago they paid 2 months back rent for me when i couldn't find
work, but still after they paid i still couldn't keep up with the rent
and was evicted later. things are a little better now, i got the
disability i was waiting for after 2 years, and i have a part time
job. with that and my wife working we barely get by. but that may soon
change because i have invented something. Lisa a member, she is trying
to raise money for offshore production of her [bundle bag]. you can
see her story under inventions on this site. anyway i left her a
comment, she replied back, and soon were exchanging emails. i told her
about my invention and she gave me info about an organisation that
helps people start small businesses and its free at our community
college. at fist i was nerves because i didn't graduate high school, i
didn't think they would except me. so i went anyway and nothing was
asked about a diploma. i met my counselor, he started off by telling
me how many people who have inventions put more money into them than
they ever get back, and most go nowhere. so i was really unsure of my
idea at that point, but i still went ahead and showed him my
prototype. he looked at it for about a 40 seconds or so, then he asked
a few questions about it. he looked`a wile longer and said, "i
think you have a winner here". well after i heard that i felt
great. so now im filing for a patent on Monday on line. it cost 110$
for a provisional patent, it gives you 1 year of "patent pending
status" this means i can approach company's to sell my invention.
my counselor said he would get me through the business aspect of it.
Lisa has helped me more than she knows. so maybe there's hope, its the
only thing some of us have in life to look forward to. so dont give up
,sometimes something little as good advice can solve your problem.

Hi Cassiereroni. It is my pleasure. I am going to visit the
community each day and randomly "share" on my FB. I don't
know if anything will come from an attempt to promote myself last
friday, but at least I tried for myself. I decided to approach the
staff at the church I am a member of to ask if they would consider
helping some with my fundraiser. I left info on my profile and
fundraiser with secretary and was told it would be passed on to the
right staff to look over. I will let others know if anythig (or
nothing) developes with it. Who knows....maybe others can try that
route.

Hi Teresa. I want to thank you for promoting me on your FB. I'm having
some trouble getting into my fb, it seems fb doesn't like my phone and
keeps locking my account. Funny considering I created my fb page with
my phone. As soon as I can get into it I'll post your profile but I'm
afraid the only friends I have are Vicki and Becky. Thank you again.
Vicki Mar 31, 2011 21:01:21
Hi Theresa! I admire your efforts so much! Your Grandma wants exactly
what I want and I hope you can continue to bring her peace and
happiness! You are a Very Special Lady!
I won't post my email address here because I'm not sure that is
allowed but you can find it in the forum. I'd love to hear from you!
I'm here for you Theresa!
Vicki Mar 31, 2011 20:37:03
Hi Theresa!
I'm honored to help! I wish everyone could care for their grandparents
when they need it the most! I will start posting for you on Facebook
and add you to my other lists. Please visit us in the forum and look
for me there! {{{BIGHUGS}} for you and Grandma!

This profile picture was taken about 6-7 years ago when I was last
able to afford a trip back home. Oh how much I miss this woman. She
is a TRUE BLUE kind of grandma you just want to stuff into your pocket
and take her home with you. What you can't tell in the pic is her
constant need of an oxygen tank to breathe and her walker to stand.
She helped me stand as a baby and now it's my turn to help her stand.
