Biography:
MicroGiving has established the Cedar Rapids Flood Recovery Fund. This fund will be used to support the immediate needs of flood victims, as well as ongoing clean-up and restoration activities.

MicroGiving is also formulating plans to mobilize a team to assist in the ongoing cleanup and recovery efforts. MicroGiving is coordinating with local and national disaster relief organizations to determine when and how our team can best serve flood victims' needs. Description: The city of Cedar Rapids has suffered widespread and unprecedented damage as a result of the historic flood of 2008. For those wishing to support the city as it struggles to recover from flood-related damage not covered by insurance or other resources, we encourage contributions to this Flood Relief Fund. Gifts of all sizes are needed and appreciated, and the first priority is to assist the individuals and families who have been displaced from their homes by flooding. All contributions to this fund will be distributed to individuals and families negatively impacted by the flood of 2008.
