Biography
I am 6 months old and have been diagnosed with plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. It means I have cranial asymmetry which causes my brain to grow in an abnormal direction. The DOC Band is going to reshape my head so my brain will grow normally.
My Purpose
I need a DOC band for my plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. Our insurance has refused to cover it, as they say, it is an "Out of Network Provder",. We are asking for anyone to help us raise the money to get my band and travel expenses. The treatment requires us to go to Dallas every week or two, depending on my growth to have the band adjusted to my needs. We live 400 miles from Dallas so it will be rather expensive to drive and spend the night.
Description: Our insurance has denied coverage due to an "Out of Network Provider", but the
place we have chosen is the only place that provides this treatment. It is 400 miles away
from my home, and we will have to travel there every week or two for adjustments of my
band depending on my growth. They hope I will only have to wear it a few months. We just
need a little help to afford the band and travel expenses.
