Born in Harlan, Ky in 1980. He was noticed as an entertainer very early on. It was the Christmas just after his 3rd birthday, he received his first electric guitar and amp. On several occasions a childhood neighbor, would recall waking up early in the morning to a three-year-old Eldon banging on his guitar and singing Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock-n-Roll” on the Huff’s front porch in rural Loyall, KY. But it wasn’t until around age 8, when his cousin gave him a drum kit, that he realized his real passion for music. The young Eldon would set up the drums in his dad’s garage, playing along with albums by Rod Stewart, Bad Company, Phil Collins, and the Eagles. At age 12 he started playing in the local bar scene covering the music of Travis Tritt, Vince Gill, Exile, Delbert McClinton, and more. He also got an early schooling in recording, at around age 17, playing guitar on sessions in a local recording studio working on demos and commercial jingles in exchange for recording time with his high school band, Eclipse. He was fronting the band from center stage with a guitar in his hands now and had built himself an arsenal of original music to start sending out to record labels. “I sent cassette tapes to every label in Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles hoping someone would just listen”, recalls Huff. Then just a few months after his 18th birthday, unsure of his future, he packed his car and moved to Nashville. His first industry contact came by way of Bob Stegall, father to hit songwriter and producer Keith Stegall. Bob took regular meetings with Eldon pitching his songs and in just a few short months Huff was known as a “Nashville songwriter”, gaining respect from some of music rows premiere songwriters and publishers. After years of networking and honing his craft he landed a major publishing deal with Sony/ATV and has written with such greats as Lee Roy Parnell, Don Cook, Curly Putman, and many more. He has shared the stage and opened shows with artist like Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Pat Green, Lee Roy Parnell and Ricky Scaggs. His high-energy shows and stellar recordings have created a steady buzz of excitement around music row. He and his band are currently touring throughout the Southeast and much of the East Coast.
