Biography
My name is Staci Davis. My best friend Mallory and I have been friends since I was 17. (5 years now) Ever since I have known her she has had seizures but she always has a positive outlook about it. It is something I admire about her.

We live in Ohio and are big OSU fans. I am a licensed esthetician and Mallory is still working on her degree...but has had to put off school for awhile because of her seizures. She has decided she now wants to help other people with nuerological disorders like herself.

My Purpose
My best friend Mallory has had epilepsy for many years and it has gotten much worse. She now has grand mal seizures at least once a week with tiny seizures everyday through out the day.

The only way to correct this and give her a normal life (because medication isn't working) is to have brain surgery. (Anterior Temporal Lobectomy to be exact) The problem though, is that her family is very poor and she has little to no health insurance coverage because this is a pre-exisiting condition.

So to help her and her family I am trying to raise money for her surgery/expenses to go to Philidelphia Medical Center. Your donations would be greatly appreciated. Anyone living with epilepsy or who knows someone close to them who has epilepsy can really sympathize. It is a very debilating condition to live with especially if you experience frequent seizures.

Mallory can no longer drive because of her epilepsy, she cannot get into a shower after first waking up (because it shocks her body,) she cannot ride most theme park rides, enjoy fireworks, stay up late at night or wake up early because the lack of sleep causes her to have a seizure, and many other normal activities that others take for granted. PLEASE HELP!!!

....One worry is that when Mallory wakes up from her surgery she will no longer know the English language since the part of her brain they are removing does affect her speech and learning comprehension. We pray that all goes well. Her surgery may be pushed back until december but hopefully it will happen before 2010. She is scheduled for more testing around October in Philidephia.

Sent our microgiving papers in today. Hopefully our account with be active or what-not soon. Looking forward to seeing how many people care about Mallory as much as I do. All she has been talking about lately is how much she is looking forward to not having seizures anymore. I don't blame her. :) Thanks for your donations in advance.
