The GreenLight Festival is as environment-loving as it sounds! GreenLight is a two-day, out-doors, all-ages, Music and Arts benefit festival whose proceeds will be split between two Eco-Friendly foundations.
One half will be going to Co-op America's Green Movement and the other half will be chosen by a tally at the door from a small list of environment-related foundations! You choose who will be on the ballot!
Go to our blog to learn more about it and submit your choice(s) of a foundation!
This dandy little festival was created during one late-night, first-time phone conversation between two young Connecticut residents, Chelsea(16) and Griffin(18), in January, 2007. Ideas flew. It started out as a small gathering between friends - no music. Then became a small show with our friends. Soon that evolved into a mini-festival with the public, then resulted in a a full-blown, two-day benefit festival for the environment. The two have been planning and working on GreenLight since.
The GreenLight Music & Arts Festival will be held on August 9th and 10th, 2008 between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm at beautiful Warsaw Park in Ansonia, CT (1 1/2 hours from New York City & less than 1 hour from Hartford, CT) |
