About this Project

Need help to pay for utilities charges. I was ordered to pay for extra charges after they installed the new digital smart meter, they discovered the person before me had a tampered meter.How was I suppose to know? The says they can do this, it's crazy. I've been here four years. Now they want four years of charges they figure they were shortchanged $2327.03. I do not want to lose my electric. My daughter is the only one working in the house now.Please help. Thank you.

Biography

Cancer survivor, single mom who recently went back to school to get Psychology degree. Blessed with a beautiful daughter,and grandson. I Like a good horror movie, and music(all kinds). I love to cook,and to eat..lol, and I like spending time with my family, and reading

My Purpose

I have been in this home for OVER three years, and just now have discovered there was an issue. My electric company advised me that the meter that was in when I moved in had been tampered with and they are going to charge me for the portion of the uncharged service for the past three years approximately,2,327.03(discovered after new digital meter installed ). I had no idea about this and felt it unfair, but was told the are allowed by law to charge me. I do not want to lose my electric, but I do not have the money they need to keep the service. This is coming at the worst time, because my daughter is the only one with a job at video-game store,I am not working now, but looking.Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Description: I have been unable to work for the past year due to cervical cancer. I am cancer free now, but not strong enough for work. I was able to get on the section 8 housing here, but although the landlord lost the house, and this was unforeseeable by me,they do not help with deposits, however they will pay the rent until I am employed once more.

There are many profiles that have been here for a while and there are
some new ones as well.  Everyone is given a welcome message just like
the one below with a link to the Community Forum that is full of new
member information and is also a great place to ask questions if you
are new and not sure what to do.  The home page has a great tutorial
called: You have created an account, Whats next?  Clicking on the
tutorial link will help guide you through the steps to uploading
documentation and submitting a request.  The tutorial and the forum
both let you know what type of requests you can submit.  There is also
a FAQ in the page footer and at the very top of the page.  Finally if
you have questions just click on my avatar and send me a note or a
