Biography
I am a single father of four children, three of whom live with me. I live in Richmond, VA working as a cable technician for the past two years. The mother of my oldest son walked out on me when he was less than a year old. The mother of my youngest three children is incarcerated for the next two years due to her being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We had recently seperated but I would like to work things out for the sake of our kids. I do not recieve any child support however my family tries to help the best they can. I am caring for my children and raising them to the best of my ability. They are my life and I will do whatever it takes to keep them happy.
My Purpose
I am here to hopefully get some help with my deposit and first months rent so that me and my kids can move into an apartment. I have been living in my mothers home with my children but she is being forced to sell it due to divorce so I have to find a new place by the 18th of this month (july). When I get back on my feet and go back to working normal hours I would like to do the same for someone else in need.

Description: I have come to find myself in a bad situation within the last month. I am a single father
working full time. I have been in and out of work for the past two months due to being
sick (pnuemonia). I have to be out of the house that I live in by the 18th of this month.
It is being sold due to the owners (my parents) divorcing. I found an apartment and have
enough to pay my first months rent and the deposit I was told at first which was $250.
However after running my credit they have changed the deposit to $895. And even though I
have been paying rent to my mother to cover the mortgage for the past four years they
could not use that as a rental reference because she is family. I have now been cleared to
return to work and will be able to support my bills if I can get this deposit paid to

Do you qualify for any additional help?: Not that I can find.
What local/other agencies have you contacted?: I have contacted H.O.M.E and social services. Social services told me that I make too much to be elible for assistance and my loss of income was only temorary.
Did you get denial letters? (if so are they attached to your request?): No, after speaking to an intake worker and reviewing the income guidelines sheet I did not apply.
What other sources of income do you or your family receive?: Besides me working my son recieves SSI due to his disability. (Bipolar, adhd, physcotic disorder not otherwise specified)
Description: Hi all! I have just made enough money, working 65 hours at work last week, to move into my
new apartment with my kids. Once again I am now financially drained. I am looking to
purchase beds for my children. I dont need anything fancy or expnsive, just beds and
bedding. They wanted a bunk bed but I have explained to them that I cant afford that right
now and they are ok with it. I was looking at walmart and saw a neat thing called a room
in a box which I think is a good price for my four and soon to be six year old (July 25
Varia will be six). If anyone may have any beds in good condition I would gladly accept or
any donation toward this will be greatly appreciated by me as well as m kids. Also if
anyone has the time to send a card to Varia Im sure her day would be brightened. She has
recieved a couple from the wish upon a hero site and she was so thrilled. Thanks to

Description: I am setting aside my needs for the time being and Im now focusing on my mother. She has a
pat due electric bill due to some misunderstandings. She has always been good with her
bills and keeping things paid however with everything going on in her life right now I
think she just cant focus in things. She has recently divorced her husband of 40 years!
She has been in and out of the hospital with several medical problems ranging from
fibromyalsia to breast cancer. Well in the midst of all of this she signed up for budget
billing with VA Power not fully understanding that she would be charged one amount each
month and would have to pay the difference in that amount and the actual bill in one large
sum later on. I am asking that if anyone is able to help PLEASE do so. She will be so
