Biography
Hi. I am a 53 year old mom of 3 girls and 5 beautiful grandbabys. I have been fighting lymphoma for over 5 years. Ive been in and out of remission 3 times. I am on a new oral trial pill. No results yet. Over the years i have accumulated $15,000 worth of hospital and doctor bills after my medicare paid there 80%. The stress is awful. They dont understand that i cant pay all of them at once. Everybody wants there money up front and when you are paying 20 different places its impossible. Pray for me that the Lord can bless me and take this burden away.
It all started back in November 2004 when i went to the doctor with a very bad pain in my left side. My spleen was enlarged and i went for test. Come to find out i had Lympnodes that were very enlarged. After a biopsy and CT scan i was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Follicular is the type which is not curable but can be controlled for a while.
1/05- started trial using Rituxin. Allergic reaction 2/05- started 6 months of CHOP chemo. Heavy duty stuff. Out of work for over a year due to side effects. 5/06 thru 6/06 did Rituxin maintenance for 1 year. 10/08- Relapsed Cancer is back. Watch and wait for 5 months. 04/09- Did ICE chemo for preparation for Stem Cell Transplant. 05/09- Did Treanda for preparation for SCT 08/09- Admitted to Sarah Canon Cancer Research Center at Centenial Hospital for high dose chemo for SCT. On 8/31/09 infused with stem cells. Released >>>
