Biography

Greetings everyone! I adopted my grandsons to save them from a life of abuse and neglect. The oldest (8) is in the autism spectrum. He and he younger brother (7) both of issues from their early little lives, ADHD and other disorders. They have become my world and I love them more than life.

Since adopting them I have become disabled. I am now in a wheelchair and cannot stand or walk. I can no longer work so I have had to learn to live on a very limited income from Social Security. The last year has been somewhat a nightmare, but through the grace of God we have persevered and I am very thankful.

Originally from Michigan, I moved to Georgia after I found I have to have a leg amputated. I need to be near someone who can take care of my boys during my hospitalization and recovery. I have a good friend here who is more like a sister.

I need all the support and friends I can get at this time in my life as I am preparing for such a scary life changing surgery.

My Purpose

I feel I have been put on this earth to care for these two boys, when nobody else had the capabilities to care for them. I wanted them to know the feeling of a loving mother who truly wanted them, as I do. I pray I will be around many more years for them.

I love to help others. Although I cannot fund any of the bigger requests at this time, I do believe that random acts of kindness are what is needed. Please let me know if there is anything that I can help with.

When it rains...

I am very anxious about getting my affairs straightened out, so that I can be admitted into the hospital. I had a fever today of 103° and I know it’s caused by my leg.

On top of everything else, as the saying goes, when it rains it pours... My lift chair has stopped lifting; which means my legs are not elevated… ugh!

Praying for you and that you will find the resources you need! I'm
glad you will have help with your grandsons while you recover. I'm
sure the move has been hard but I believe there is no better
investment then in kids and you are doing that in all the ways you
know how =)
