Biography

Hello my name is Teresa Melson (Terri)we live in Stillwater,OK
I have four children,3 grandchildren and one on the way :-) at 50
it seems like playing with the kids should be hard to do but they keep me
feeling young I enjoy being a parent. As a single mother I've always worked and kept them in food along with a good home, my 2 youngest children never knew a Father in our home(daddy)but we always made it.
In January I'll be going online to attend college, the pell grant covers most of the cost but there will be extra cost on my part, but if it will increase my chance to make a better living for us in the long run it is sure to help find a good career in my major field of website design.

My Purpose

To pay back due bills and get back on my feet again.
Need to meet my goal ASAP, of $1655.00 Please help as
you are able, this will help keep our utilities on this
month.

I agree with Eldon, raising donations is really hard work.  You have
to be willing to try everything.  I know that for hardship recipients
this is NOT easy and for some it's impossible.  If you can't promote
your own request I encourage you to visit the forum and ask others to
promote your request for you.  Some may not be able to help with
funds, but they might have pretty good social networks and can help
with promoting.

I have a fairly large facebook, myspace, and email fan base that I
blasted out every 20 minutes of everyday for the first 30 days of my
fundraiser.  I've calmed down the promotion for now but will fire back
up after the new year.  I plan to do a series of video, 1 per week,
for the remainder of the fundraiser.  Raising money can be tough. 
Just be persistant and thorough with your details.  Also try making
phone calls to everyone in your family and friends cause some may not
have social sites.  Good luck!  I'll be glad to give any tips you may
need.  Thanks!

Thank you so much for the help anyone can give, this is the bare
minimum for our needs, to catch up would be more, but I'm praying with
my odd jobs and unemployment it may not be nessecary to ask for more.
College is just around the corner in January 2011 and it will help me
find a good career building Websites.
We are so very greatful to those who can lend a helping hand during
this time of hardship.
We pray many blessings will come your way!!
