Biography
Warm, gregarious, playful, talkative and impulsive. Live life to its fullest, and any difficulty along the way is viewed as a stimulating challenge. Consider myself a non-conformist and rather innovative. Strive to inspire and energize others and think my enthusiasm for new ways of doing things tends to be contagious. Never tire of coming up with original possibilities, which I think are usually insightful and even ingenious

Description: MicroGiving aims to assist anyone who has a viable need. That includes but is not limited to.... 1. Prevent an otherwise self-sufficient individual or family from entering the cycle of poverty as a result of the financial burden posed by a relatively small emergency expense. 2. Support the willing but temporarily unemployed individual or family with the means to return to work. 3. Financially responsible persons who cannot work to continue to live independently on their limited incomes, despite an unexpected expense which no conventional agency is prepared to address.

Cause Fundraiser
Basic Needs
Description: I've decided to do the London Triathlon this year raising money for Vital For
Children. It is on the 1st of August and I am competing in the Olympic distance. This
involves a 1.5km swim in the Victoria Docks, then a 40km cycle and a 10km run through
London. As you're probably thinking, it doesn't sound like much but after having
started training it seems this is going to be a nightmare.
Vital aims to restore the basic human rights to all children suffering from the oppression
& injustice of poverty by supporting projects which ensure the many disadvantaged and
vulnerable children. That they receive access to quality education, healthcare facilities,
nutrition and clean water, protection and emergency shelter.
One third of the world′s poor are in India. The streets of Kolkata are a place of refuge
and a place of danger where street children live, eat, play, sleep and work. There are
thousands of unreached, vulnerable and disadvantaged children who work in hazardous and
dangerous conditions, from construction workers to rag pickers, forced by poverty, and by
exploitative adults into the sex industry, while others turn to petty theft or join gangs
for self-protection - thus ending up in conflict with the law or worse. Some children
choose to live on the streets as an alternative to poverty or violence at home. It is also
a place for those who take advantage of these vulnerable children, most often to exploit
them sexually or financially. There are thousands of children who are still unreached and
at high risk who also have the right to be properly cared for and protected. In most
cases, either these children are not considered human beings worthy of deserving medical
care or are treated badly because they do not have a guardian. The actual provision of
healthcare services for these children is appalling.
There is great need for a children's hospital where the children will get easy access
to medical facilities by caring and loving doctors and health workers, an environment
where there will be no discrimination and they can be easily admitted any time without the
need for personal rapport with hospital officials.
Vital to the success of our projects are the various local organizations, groups and
individuals, such as the police, the juvenile board, local representatives, civil society
groups and local business owners, along with a committee comprised of staff, trainers,
adolescents and representatives from the other groups, being involved in all phases of the
projects from planning to decision making, implementation and monitoring and evaluation.
My progress: I hope to raise $5000, so all donations will be greatly appreciated. I have set up a
MicroGiving page as this is the easiest way of sponsoring. Donating through this site is
simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me:
VitalForChildren.org will receive 100% of your donation! If you have any friends of family
that may be interested in sponsoring me please inform them of this webpage.
Many Thanks,
Michelle Fraedrick
This is a one time only expense assistance request .
