Biography

Hi I am a mother. I have two great boys. My oldest is 17 and graduated early from high school. My youngest is 14 he has brittle bone disease and Aspergers. My family is my whole world, without them I couldn't be me. If you want to know more feel free to ask.

My Purpose

Wow that is one for thought my purpose. In life my purpose is to be a good person, a faithful Christian, a loving mother. My purpose in life is to raise strong boys and make them into stong men who know what it is to be a loving husband and father when they are grown. To teach them values and respect for themselves and others. I think that is the most important purpose I can think of. I believe that God gave me these boys for a reason and that is to help them become the best men they can be. Not only for themselves but for God and their community.

I don't know I would make sure the bills were paid but I don't think we need that much money too many problems, I know I would donate a lot to the fire department in honor of my dad who was a firemen. What is the most embarrassing thing youve ever done? pooped myself when I was sick, my kids will never let me forget it. YUCK!! Hobbies and Talents : I like to sew purses and aprons. That is my hobby and talent. Sewing . I have done fundraisers for the fire dpt. blood drives and raised the money to get them the supplies they needed for a cook off at a local airshow. My dad was a firemen and I try to do thing to honor him by helping the fire dpt. I have pics of the last blood drive if anyone wants to see. List achievements and any future educational plans : I was a customer service manager for a grocery store for 10 years. I won the customer service award last year not only for our district but the whole company. I got a trophy, a limo ride to eat lunch at Copelands with my Store Manager, District Manager, District supervisor and another store manager and customer service manager who got most improved store. It was a great feeling to know I had made such an impact that people actually took the time to call in and let the company know about it. I went to vo-tech for office management skills I went back to school for RN but was unable to continue because I was working full time and raising two kids on my own. I alway thought I would go back but I don't think that will happen now due to personal illness.

Damian talked his orthopedic doc. into a bumble bee cast. LOL this was funny.

Damian at Children's Hospital gettin a cast put on this one is green. LOL he loves to mix up the colors. I wish I would have thought to take pic of all the episodes. The ER doc used one of the breakes to teach at LSU so that whole thing was pictured and recorded I wish I had a copy of that.

It's been awhile.

Life has been a little crazy for me, well actually it's been a lot crazy. Somebody stop the ride I am soooo ready to get off. Where to start?
In August I came home to Louisiana after leaving a very abusive marriage, I later found out that he was having another affair to boot. I guess it shouldn't have surpised me but for some reason it did. I lost me medical insurance since he was the carrier. I picked myself up moved into my own apartment and here I am raising my two boys on my own and I am starting to realize I am free.
I been so connected to my marriage for so long that I don't even know the things I like to do. I know that sounds weird but I was never able to do the thing I liked to do. I did what I was told and that was it. So now I am taking to time to try to figure my life out. This is not an easy thing to do. >>>

Description: I need an attorney as soon as possible. My husband threw me and my boys out of our home after years of abuse. We were homeless until the 18th of August, I found an apartment and we have gotten settled in. I am in a different state than he is and the laws are different between the states. He has gotten an attorney and wants me to sign papers that say I will not say anything because some of the things he has done could cause him to lose his job. This is not the route I want to take and he is not the father of my children. I am on disability and when the divorce goes through I will no longer have medical insurance and I have to wait until April of 2011 to get medicare. My SSD check makes me ineligible for medicaid which you can't have an income of over 200.00 to receive that. I get 1500.00 a month from SSD and that goes to rent, electricity, car insurance, meds, dr. copays, and food. There is nothing left after these things and as it is I am doing without a lot of meds. I have tried legal aid and they won't take my case due to property settlement, they don't handle anything with property. My car is in his name, it's not much a 1997 Jeep Cherokee which I am always having to fix but it is all I have. The state he is in is not a community property state so he has legal rights to my car. I have taken being hit, called names, being put down, emotional abuse and my own kids seeing all of this and having to deal with the emotional abuse he dished out. I am not trying to fight for anything except what is fair. I cannot make it without a car there is no public transportation where I live. He moved us to Mississippi and 6 months to the day he threw us out of the house thinking that would make me a resident there. Louisiana is a community property state and will give me the right to my own car. I have taken a lot including him having affairs and like I said the abuse but enough is enough I need to find an attorney that will help me fight to get my own belongings. I have called every attorney in the phone book and they all want a retainer of 2500 dollars which I do not have. I left without a penny to my name at the beginning of August and in that time I have managed to get an apartment and get my kids settled and safe. Please help me to find away to keep the little that I have. If you even know of an attorney who can practice in Louisiana that would take this case and help me please anything would be so appreciated. Description: Michie's husband's job was transfered last November of 2008. He moved with the job without Michie and lived there in a camper on a local campground until Michie was able to move with her son in February 2009. Little did Michie know, the public school where he son was about to attend was not only in a bad neighborhood but full of crime, drugs, gangs, etc. Michie has tried everything in her power to get her son into a different school but they wont allow a transfer. Her son, who is handicap, is miserable and from what we understand in a dangerous situation. Everyday her son is teased, picked on and bullied. Her last straw was when she was picking her son up from school and hse witnessed a drug deal. That day she decided she had to do something so she went to the Christian school nearby and talked to them. Its an excellent school and has all the necessary accommodations for her special needs son. The school costs $1,000 - which covers tuition, misc. fees and books. Michie and her husband believe they will be able to cover next years tuition because they will start budgeting for it now however they cannot afford it this year. She is thinking about withdrawing from her 401k but it takes 30 days after she receive the paper work and she hasn't received the papers yet. Only $1,000 is needed to get Michie's son into a better learning environment that impact him for the rest of his life. Any amount you can donate will help get Michie closer to her goal.

My progress: I have a wish at WUAH and received 2 shirts 2 pants and a tie. They were also able to get the tuition for this year lowered from 1000.00 to 650.00 which is a blessing, I have sold some personal items and have made approximately 50.00. I have a chip-in on Greedy or needy which states I have 89 dollars and some change. Out of that I had to ship some things because I had an auction to sell some purses and aprons that I had made. I have had someone offer to send me 40.00 through the mail. ( I am hoping I will receive this but I don't know this person and am waiting to receive it before counting it as part of what I have raised. I have applied to modest needs but was denied due to the fact that they don't help with tuition. I am updating to let everyone know I got the money oreder in the mail today for 40.00 so I am 40.00 closer to my goal. I just had a small set back. A cell phone I sold had a problem and I had to refund 36.00 to the buyer and I am also out the shipping so just updating.

This is not a normal thing for me normally I take care of my kids myself but with the move and this being unexpected I just can't come up with the money. I didn't budget for it. Who I am:
Hi my name is Michelle. I live in Louisiana. I am reccently divorced as of December 2009. I am escaping an abusive marriage and raising two boys on my own. I am on disabiliy after working 10 years for a grocery chain that I loved.

What I need and what brought me to MicroGiving:
I am trying to find help to see an eye doctor. I have a really bad eye infection due to having to wear my contacts since August. My ex cut me off of the medical insurance and I can't pay to see the doctor or to get the contacts. The infection is really bad and I can't see without contact. Glasses are so expensive due to my perscription being a negative 8 and an astigmatisim, according to my last visit which was over a year ago.

My circumstance and my need for help:
I just went through a divorce, lost my insurance, had to start over in a new apartment and all of my money is going to pay my rent, utilities and to feed the kids. There isn't any extra money for unexpected things such as this. I won't be able to get medicare until April of 2011 and haven't been able to get medicaid.

Any Supports other than Microgiving:
I have a wish up at Wish Upon A Hero where I have gotten $10.00 in donations. I have tried everything I can locally including Lyons Club, and haven't been able to get any help.

Well life has taken me on a lot of ups and downs lately.  I am back on
my feet and I have my own apartment now.  Things are not easy by a
long shot but they are working by the grace of God.  Just wanted to up
date a little.  Thanks to everyone for the support and prayers.

Hi all sorry I have been away so long.  I have been ill and I have had
a watch dog.  He finally went back to work today so I am able to catch
up.  I should be back soon.  I return to the doctor tomorrow for a
follow up and hopefully I will be allowed out of the bed then.  Just
