My Purpose

Well let see, My name is Christine, I'm a 42 year old single mother of two wonderful daughters and soon to be a "Nana" in May. I work full time,and am very thankful to have a job. I am a people person and I love to help others when I am able. I have volunteered in soup kitchens, local schools, our County animal shelter and many other non-profit organizations. I'm a very out-going, straight-forward, don't mind to get my hands dirty kind of person. I try to always show understanding, support and encouragement to others, I try always to be warm and kind hearted believing the best in everyone. I try to always be there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. I, like many these days struggle week to week trying to make ends meet. I recieve absolutely, positively, unfortunately no child support, even though there is an order in effect. My ex is in extreme arrears with the child support and Child Support Enforcement isn't very much help, so my girls end up with nothing. It saddens me because ultimetly it is my girls that end up hurting the most. Sometimes it is hard being two parents in one, I do the very best I can though. Name :Amanda Relationship: Daughter Name : McKenzie Relationship: Daughter Recent changes in my life : It has been extremely difficult for the past few years but I have been extremely blessed in many ways throughout all the trials and tribulations. We have each other, we have faith and I beleive that God has a plan for me. Like many have told me, " Whenever you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is UP"!!! Favorite board game Scrabble What is most important thing in your life? My girls, they keep me on my toes but also very grounded... I work third shift so I'm on my way to bed in the morning :) If you could have one super power, what would it be? The ability to wave a wand and take everyone's pain and struggling away Comedy or Horror? Comedy If you could build a house anywhere, where would it be? In the mountains of NC.... What is your greatest ambition? To be stable and have a bit of security for rainy days Who is the person from you past you wish you could go back and talk to? My Mother....she passed away from Breast Cancer and I oh so miss her terribly... What characteristics do you think you've inherited from your parents? My perserverance and the constant desire to be organized What do you never leave home without? One of my teenagers....they fail to ever give me some "me" time....LOL Who would you most like to meet? I honestly don't have a desire to meet anyone; or at this time I just can't think of who it If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? Faint...lol!!!! Then, I would get me and my girls stable then I would donate to many causes such as breast cancer awareness, domestic violence etc..I would LOVE to open up a Crisis Center to help that are in difficult situations... What is the most embarrassing thing youve ever done? Hmmm I'm gonna have to think about this one and get back to ya.... Hobbies and Talents : I was a cheerleader and played tennis all through High School...I graduated college with Honors and I received many volunteer awards from my children's schools, such as PTA member awards, mentor of the semester, volunteer of the 9 wks., and Proctor of the year. List achievements and any future educational plans : I have a B.S in Business Administration and a minor in Computer Science and Child Psychology.

TGIF...and alittle bit more about ME!!

Yeah!! I am so glad to see Friday is finally here. It has been a very long and tiring week with many onerous duties. I am really looking forward to the weekend, so I can get out and enjoy the outdoors some. I want to go to the local park with my children and hit a few of the trails out there, maybe even have a picnic lunch. I just love the outdoors, and Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Not to cold, not too hot and everything is beginning to bloom. There is just something about a bright sunny day, with a gentle breeze blowing, my girls cheerful and glowing that puts all my issues into perspective. Yes, I am struggling, Yes I am stressed and Yes I worry daily about the needs of my children being met. But I also have to say I am thankful to be able to be able to do the many things I am able to, like walk the trails outdoors. I am truly blessed and very appreciative for the things I do have.

Description: It's not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can't tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself. With this said, I can only be honest and say I struggle and struggle. I try so hard to raise my children with good morals and values in a world that is so crazy sometimes. I work and love my job, but my rent just went up and my income didn't. Unfortunately I receive not a dime of child support. My ex is nowhere to be found. My daughters are my life and I want the best for them so when things get rough I manage to keep myself upbeat for them. Here it is already the beginning of Spring and Easter is right around the corner, do I have anything extra for goodies for my kiddies..Nope! I don't even have extra for food most months...this happens to be one of them months. I just want to be able to get over this hurdle and fill my fridge, chan..
