Biography
Taking one day at a time, and making the best out of each of them! I look forward to making many friends here at Microgiving! My husband is 43 years old and suffers from Colon Cancer, Osteo Arthritis, Degenergive Disk Disease, Fibromyalga, COPD and Asthma. I have Systemic Lupus and Discoid Lupus, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Carpal Tunnel, Arthritis.. and the list goes on. It's my wish that someday we will be able to to pay it forward and help others. I joined Microgiving, hoping that someone out there could help my family, and that others would want to become friends. I'm a good listener, loyal friend and hopefully someone can confide in. My family is my rock and without them, I would be nothing. I used to be a cook, until Lupus entered my life. I enjoy playing cards and my online friends. My husband means the world to me, I truly beleive that we were meant to be married and to always be there for one another. Please feel free to add me as a friend.
My Purpose
I am a 36 year old mother of two great kids who are 14 and 17. My husband, Tom and I have been married for 18 years. We live in a small Northwest Ohio town. We usually do ok for ourselves, but with gas prices as high as they are, and other hardships that have come up, we are having a really hard time right now. Tom does get SS, but I do not at this time. We can not afford our meds, gas and groceries while trying to maintain our utilities and house payments. I look forward to making new friends and sharing our lives with you.

Our goal is to work hard at getting back on our feet, this includes obtaining insurance for our family and if nessacary, file for disibility on my behalf. I so badly wanted to go back to work, but my health is beginning to tell me that this may not be possible. I love working as a cook, it's a pure passion of mine. It's been a long while since I have had the chance to do so because of the Lupus and other medical issues.
Our goals include becoming more stable finanically and enjoying the time we have together. To share our expierence with others and help when we can, even if it's only a bit at a time.

Please read my blogs and bio to learn more about me and my wonderful family.

When...

Posted on Mon 17 Aug, 08:36 pm

I had no idea what to call this latest entry! So I've titled it.. When...
When things look the absolute worst, chin up, there's more to come! LOL

Just a short update:
Tom was dx'd with copd/asthma and is now going to Pulmonary Rehab, 3 days a week.
Our two teens, ages 17 and 14 were recently dx'd with Severe Hypertension.  Today we had a follow up with the Nepherologist.  It wasn't great news, but it isn't the worst news possible.  Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers.  It's been a rough few months for all of us.   >>>

Thank you Sherri. I am sorry you are going through tough times. Having
never had lupus, I only know what I've heard. I will pray for God to
bring you relief from your symptoms.

Hi, Hope you doing okay. Do you have big plans for Mother's Day?
Brooks said, he has big plans for me. I'm still hanging out resting.
Not much to do, but work on the computer. Thank God, my husband bought
