Biography
I am the mommy of 11 children ages 4-26 years old. I also have 10 grandbabies at this time.
I am a dedicated Autism advocate and will speak on the subject of Autism at the drop of a hat!
Finances are a struggle right now as we are doing the biomedical treatment for my son's Autism. This treatment has given us miraculous results!!!
Life is short so live it to the fullest! Don't waste time holding grudges....you never know when your time is up!

My Purpose
My reason for needing assistance starts back in August 2005 whem Hurricane Katrina blew into Long Beach, MS and decided to take everything out into the ocean with her.
We relocated to WV and 4 months later our youngest son received a diagnosis of Autism. We were still reeling from the aftermath of Katrina and trying to rebuild our lives. The diagnosis threw another monkey wrench into our lives.
We are survivors though and we are still slowly rebuilding. All of our money goes to living expenses and treating our sons Autism. (supplements and GF/CF diet for Autism cost $600- 800 per month).
I once thought that I knew everything there was to raising children! But God showed me I had a lot more to learn! Having a child with special needs is a challenge....but it is the most rewarding thing that any parent can experience!!!
I LOVE my life!!! I just look forward to the day when finaaces go back to pre Katrina status! ;)

Description: I am in desperate need of 4 tires for my vehicle! The price on used locally is not much less then new. I have enough money for 2 of them but need help with getting the other 2.

In need of an eye exam!
Description: My last eye exam was 7 or 8 years ago. I was in need of glasses at that time but my sight was just off by a little bit. Now however my vision is going downhill and I am in desperate need of an eye exam. I have no medical insurance to pay for this.
I am the mom of 11 children most of which are grown. My youngest is 4 and has Autism and I stay home to care for him. We are doing the DAN protocol for his treatment so there is no money left to use for an eye exam after bills. (and this treatment is doing miracles!!!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

UPDATE: This request has been completed! I am now the proud owner of glasses! (never thought I would look as having glasses as a "proud" moment...but I do!)

Description: Matthew Cody's OT eval last week states that he has poor muscle tone in his back. He will
need to stay in a 5 point harness car seat. I do not have the money for this and he is now
at 40 pounds/40 inches and his car seat is no longer safe. They recommended the Britax
Regent and that is way too expensive. I did some research and found a Safety 1st car seat
that is just as safe as the Britax and only a third of the cost. :) I called and spoke
with his OT and he said that would be great!
I am in need of help getting this car seat for him as soon as possible. We travel to his
specialist an hour away and we go several times a week to therapy so a safe car seat is
vital.
I have included the link to the car seat. I also have this wish up on Wish Upon a Hero. I
need this ASAP as each time he rides in his he is not adequately protected.

What local/other agencies have you contacted?: Fire dept, state medicaid plan.
Did you get denial letters? (if so are they attached to your request?): No. I called and spoke with the supervisor.
What other sources of income do you or your family receive?: My son receives $300 a month in SSI and my husbands income varies greatly.
There is no extra money as it all goes to treating my son's Autism with the biomedical treatment.
