Biography

I love working on my computer! It is my passion! I am now trying to make a go of it and work from home! While I have managed to actually make some money I find that this particular month I don't have money for food! Although I have managed to pay my utility and phone bill which is quite a good accomplishment for me!

My mother passed away not so long ago and slowly I am learning to adjust. I feel very fortunate to have been able to give my mother the best funeral possible! While I miss her terribly I know that she is in a far better place now! I feel very fortunate to have been around when both of my parents died. I still miss them both!

While it is a struggle to keep her home it is something that I intend to do! I love this house and have been living in it for the last 20 years! and I intend to keep it as my home - no matter what the foreclosure people say! It is so sad that people are losing their homes at such an enormous rate but I don't intend to be one of them! I don't live extravagently and I don't have a car and I use public transportation! Me and my cat live quite frugally and she is my bestest friend!

I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I have graduated from high school. I have had different types of jobs in my life like working as a nurse's aide and being a receptionist. In the pit of my stomach I have always wanted more! And I continue to work hard to get it!

I have managed to pay off my student loans and for that I am very grateful!

I have had many jobs in my life and I always knew that I wanted something more! The man who started Microgiving.com has a very inspiring story and it relates so much to my own story. He started a website and nurtured it and then was able to sell it at a profit and now he has started this site! What a truly inspirational story and it lets me (and hopefully others) know that dreams can come true!

I have also started my garden this year! I didn't before because I was so depressed and worried about my problems but this year I said 'what the heck' and decided to live my life with passion and purpose!

I am a person just like everyone else and I do matter in this world!

The Weekend Is Here!

I say that because we are officially at the end of normal business hours on a Friday which means that there will be no more official business hours until Monday at 9am!
My situation is still the same in that I still haven't gotten the results that I wanted and now because of the heat and humidity I haven't been feeling very well.
Oh well, what can I do but to keep myself positive and take one day at a time! - because that is all that I CAN do!

Description: Hopefully Microgiving will see that my initial request has not been completed even though it says it has on my profile.

My progress: I am currently applying for food stamps as my income is so low. I found that I can make certain foods stretch for a while including noodles and crackers.

This is a one time only expense assistance request for 1 adults

My message:I do hope that Microgiving sees this so that they will know that my first request has not been completed yet even though it says so on my profile.

Do you qualify for any additional help?: I am currently in the application process for food stamps. I have also received 2 grants to help keep my electricity and heating on.

What local/other agencies have you contacted?: My local county assistance office.

Did you get denial letters? (if so are they attached to your request?): I haven't gotten a denial yet - I'm still in the process of applying for food stamps. It takes about 30 days for them to evaluate your application plus they require certain paperwork and documents

What other sources of income do you or your family receive?: The only other income I receive is the money that make using Google's Adsense program which comes out to about $75 a month.

Yes, hopefully they will be solved soon. The team is doing all they can but you can't always predict the glitches that keep a development model from going live. That's life in the electronic age.

You can however request a check from MicroGiving since your request
has been completed.  Just send an email to support@microgiving.com and
request a payout by check.

I understand how you feel.  I used to have some extra income mid month
but I lost that a few months ago and it leaves is terribly short mid
month.  I just had to borrow money from my sister for food.  My sis is
already taking one of my sons for 2 weeks.  I didn't want her money
but my son called her and told her we would not be eating right for
the next two weeks and my sister was not about to let that happen
because for me and my oldest son eating incorrectly is extremely
dangerous.  We are on mammal free, dye free, diabetic, cholesterol and
high blood pressure diets.

I NEED a job!!!!

My mom bought me a new window AC unit so I think I'll make it through
this weekend as long as I can talk the insurance company and trash
company into once again deferring my insurance till the first of the
month.  I'll get late fees again but well I can take that out of the
grocery budget.
