Biography

I am a 25 year old mother of two, I am currently unemployed and living with my mother.My purpose for joing Micro Giving is because,my mother became ill January of this year.She was hospitalized for bacterial pneumonia and hep.c and found out that she has lung cancer.She is now disabled and can't work.We are struggling to keep up with our rent and utilities since our only income is 804.00 a month.Our natural gas has been turned off in our home because we can't pay the full amount.I have a 1997 Honda Civic that I took out a title loan on that i need to payoff,my car windows were also shot out due to a drive by shooting in our neighborhood.

My Purpose

I would like to ask the donors here at Microgiving for help to pay off our bills and purchase a used mini van so that i can transport my mother to and from her doctors appointments,and get my son to and from school.

SO FAR SO GOOD,I'M HAPPY TO WAKE UP THIS MORNING TO BE WITH MY FAMILY.I THANK GOD EVERY MORNING WHEN I OPEN MY EYES.WELL TODAY WILL BE ANOTHER LONG DAY,TWO MORE TRIPS TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE.I DO HAVE A LOT ON MY MIND THIS MORNING, ALL THE THOUGHTS OF WAKING UP NOT HAVING ANY MONEY WONDERING HOW WE 'RE GOING TO PAY THE BILLS.THE ECONOMIC RECESSION I AM REALLY FEELING,SHOOTINGS OUTSIDE THE HOUSE EVERY NIGHT,FIGHTS AND MORE.I MUST HAVE A LOT OF FAITH TO LIVE THE LIFE THAT I LIVE,I DON'T THINK THAT ANYONE ELES WOULD SURVIVE WALKING IF THEY TOOK A WALK IN MY SHOES FOR ONE DAY!I'M PROUD OF MYSELF THOUGH,MOST TWENTY FIVE YEAR OLDS I KNOW ARE NOTHING CLOSE TO THE KIND OF PERSON I AM.I'M A SINGLE MOTHER OF TWO,STRUGGLING TO TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY BUT STILL STAYING STRONG, I WO'NT LET ANYTHING OR ANYONE STOP ME FROM MY GOALS.AS LONG AS I KEEP FAITH IN GOD, I KNOW I'LL FIND THAT POT OF GOLD OVER THE RAINBOW. >>>

Unexpected Illness

Description: Tia Brown is a single mother of two children. Tia has had to stop working to care for her 60 yr old mother who is disabled and recently diagnosed with severe lung cancer. Tia and her mother receive a small amount of relief from social security, however it is not enough to cover the medical bills that continue to flood in let alone support her two small children. "My two kids and I have always lived with my mother,and we take care of each other. The medical bills have thrown us behind and we have been struggling to keep up with our rent and utilities. Our gas was recently shutoff which has made life really unpleasant. I'm just trying to get my family back on our feet again." -Tia
